Why just Jan?
Dear Velo,
I've written your fine web site a couple of times regarding this, andnever really thought I'd need to write again about the whole doping thing, but this thing with Ullrich (see "DNAtest links Ullrich to Fuentes blood bags") sent me over the edge.So Ullrich is vilified, because the authorities essentially broke intohis home and stole samples to perform DNA matching with the Puerto bloodbags. Basso, Contadore etc. continue to make hundreds of thousands of dollarsracing, but were also implicated.Cycling should demand DNA samples from Basso, Contadore, Hamilton andanyone else implicated in Puerto, just to put this whole idiotic affairon a level playing field. If they don't they should be kicked out of thepeloton. End of story.

Dear VeloNews,
I have always been a Tyler Hamilton fan, and have stated on a numbertimes to anyone who would listen that Baso has not been found guilty ofanything. However in light of the DNA link to Ullrich, if this can be confirmedby some neutral party. I must say that I think that every implicated ridernow needs to supply the required DNA or someone with the power to do so,needs to stop them from entering races. I cannot support a system thatbans a rider that can be linked just because he provided DNA andlets others continue to race because they have a lawyer - or groups ofthem - that can prevent them from having to do the same. This is just my opinion, however, if these riders expect me and othersto continue to support cycle racing as a sport. They need to put up orstop screaming 'I am innocent!'
